- Software EMTP is used for Lightning Over Voltage (LOV) Studies
- Studies shall be in compliance with IEC 60071, IEC 60099 & CIGRE-63
- Various Case Studies are performed for Shield Failure and Back Flash Over Conditions
- Evaluate Lightning Performance of Transmission Line in terms of Shield Failure Rate (SFR) and Shield Failure Flash Over Rate (SFFOR)
- Determine the voltages induced in the system and hence validate the Basic Insulation Level (BIL) of various equipment after considering various factors like Altitude Correction Factors & Safety Factors
- Validate Selection of Lightning Arrestors Ratings and their Energy Capabilities
- Validate the Optimum location of Lightning Arrestors in the system
